Twitter CEO Elon Musk continues with the Twitter clean-up. Now, he’s making the platform less woke than it was before.
Musk Slams Former Twitter Exec for Placing “Visibility Filters” on Elected Leaders
Musk claimed that former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth… put “visibility filters” on elected officials’ accounts before leaving the social media platform.
The comment was in response to a House Oversight Committee hearing on Twitter’s role, specifically about suppressing the Hunter Biden story.
Roth was one of several former Twitter employees questioned on their role in potentially censoring a political story.
Musk praised the efforts of the House Oversight Committee. They attacked former Twitter executives, including Roth, for censoring unfavorable opinions and stories.
The Twitter Files revealed the platform’s practice of blacklisting, or “shadowbanning,” specific tweets or accounts. This limits their reach, which the company called “visibility filtering.”
Various clips from the hearing went viral on social media… particularly following Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s interaction with Roth.
Instead of questioning Roth on his role in the story, the Democratic congresswoman attacked the hearing as a waste of time and taxpayer money… saying they could be talking about more pressing issues… such as the cost of prescription drugs and voting rights.
House Republicans criticized and attacked Roth and his former Twitter colleagues… for their alleged cooperation with the government to censor conservatives.
Our patriot leaders also used this opportunity to expose the demo-rats further…
Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., accused them of interfering with the 2020 presidential election. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., criticized Roth for working to ban her from her account while allowing “child porn all over Twitter.”
Musk previously called out Roth and other former Twitter executives for their attempts to censor unfavorable opinions and stories…
Musk Says He Expects a New Twitter CEO Toward End of the Year
Elon Musk announced at the World Government Summit in Dubai… that he plans to find a new CEO for Twitter at the end of the year. Musk said his top priority for Twitter is ensuring the platform can function.
Musk added that he needs to stabilize the organization and ensure it’s financially healthy before selecting a new CEO.
In December, Musk conducted a Twitter poll. He asked his followers whether he should step down as CEO, with 57.5% of respondents saying he should resign. Even when he does step down, Musk will still have ownership of the social media giant.
Musk has described Twitter as a “startup in reverse.” He said work is required to:
- Get the company to a stable position
- Build the engine of software engineering
Since taking over, he has attempted to maximize the company’s profits. One of them is offering a subscription service called Twitter Blue that features a verification badge and other perks. However, the initial launch of the paid verified account system resulted in some notable companies’ impersonation, prompting a further withdrawal of advertising money to the platform.
Right now, Twitter is losing its wokeness and taking a better route. Musk is doing everything he can to make the company fair and financially stable.
YOU CAN’T PUT YOUR ENEMIES IN CHARGE OF CENSORING WHAT CAN AND CAN’T BE SAID. I SAY, SAY WHAT EVER YOU WANT, BUT DON’T PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME O YOU WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.
